Dr. Rosalea Acap Knight

Dr. Rosalea Acap Knight, DPT, ATC, CKTP, GTS

Dr. Rosalea Acap Knight is the founder and clinic director of Elite Care Physical Therapy. She began her career as an Athletic Trainer after graduating from Salisbury University’s Athletic Training Program in 2005. She worked as the head athletic trainer to University of Maryland’s Competitive Cheerleading team and as an assistant athletic trainer to University of Maryland’s Football team from 2005-2007.

After furthering her education and graduating with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2010, she worked as a clinic director for outpatient physical therapy clinics all over Maryland. She spent time in Bowie, College Park, and Dunkrik.

In 2014 Elite Care Physical Therapy was established in Deale, MD. Dr Knight is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the National Athletic Trainers Association, and the Kinesio Taping Association. She is active in her community as a board member of the Southern Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Southern High School ICST team, and in the Anne Arundel County Public School STEM program.

In her free time she enjoys boating, snowboarding, and spending time with friends and family, especially with her husband and two children.


Valerie Downs

Valarie Downs, PTA, LMT, CKTP, GTS

Valerie Downs has been a Physical Therapist Assistant since graduating with an Associates degree from Anne Arundel Community College’s CACHE Program in 2010. She’s a certified Kinesiotape practitioner, has completed a massage therapy program and loves studying myofascial release techniques. She has worked in outpatient clinics throughout Calvert, Anne Arundel and Prince George’s Counties. For several years she also specialized in aquatic therapy for a variety of patients. She has experience treating general orthopedics, pediatrics, geriatrics, and post surgical patients. She also has treated patients involved with strokes and spinal cord.

In her free time she enjoys taking advantage of local southern Maryland activities on land and water with her two sons.


Ryleigh Cox

Ryleigh Cox, PTA

Ryleigh is a Physical Therapist Assistant. Ryleigh graduated Summa Cum Laude from the CACHE PTA program at Anne Arundel Community College in 2020. Throughout her curriculum, Ryleigh gained experience with a variety of diagnoses working in clinical rotations of both land and aquatic therapy in skilled nursing and outpatient facilities.

Ryleigh has a passion for fitness and played soccer growing up, which sparked her interest in physical therapy. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, family, and friends at the beach or boating on the South River.

Ryleigh is very excited to begin her PTA career with Elite Care Physical Therapy and will be seeing patients at both the Deale and Chesapeake Beach locations.

In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, family, and friends hosting game nights and attending various sporting events.


michelle seanger rude

Michelle Seanger Rude, PT, DPT, CLT

Michelle received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2003 from the University of Maryland, School of Medicine in Baltimore. She has been practicing for over 18 years with experience in multiple settings to include hospital acute inpatient care, outpatient, pediatrics and subacute rehabilitation. Michelle’s interests include orthopedics, neurology, pediatrics, amputee rehabilitation, aquatic therapy, oncology, and lymphedema.

Michelle has extended her education to include advanced training in cancer rehabilitation, lymphedema and amputee rehabilitation. Michelle received her certification in Lymphedema in 2008 as a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and continued her education to include cancer rehabilitation.

Michelle’s ultimate goal is to help others in every possible way through providing comprehensive individualized care so patients can achieve their own personal goals.

In her free time, Michelle loves spending time with animals, working at Maryland Therapeutic Riding, being outside hiking with her dog, enjoying time on the water boating, fishing or kayaking, and last but definitely not least, spending time with family and friends creating fun memories.

Lottie Maidl, PTA

Lottie is a Physical Therapist Assistant who is a south county native. She first graduated in 2018 with her B.S. in Exercise Science from Gardner-Webb University, then worked as a Physical Therapy Aide at Elite Care Physical Therapy as she furthered her education at Anne Arundel Community College’s PTA program. Lottie graduated in 2021 with experiences in various outpatient settings including aqua therapy, neuro, amputations, ortho, & sports.

In her free time, Lottie enjoys exercising, paddle boarding, and working on her family farm in Lothian.

Danielle MacCrory

Danielle MacCrory PT, DPT

I’m a physical therapist with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. I have been practicing since 2015. I am happily married to my husband, Aaron, and we have two little girls. In my spare time I train for triathlons. My goal is to do a triathlon in all 50 states. I’m passionate about making a difference in the lives of my patients by making daily tasks more efficient and pain free. I have extensive training in treating patients with orthopedic conditions and pelvic floor dysfunction. I especially love helping patients return to running after injury or after having a baby. My focus during treatment is on manual therapy and exercise progression in order to help you meet your goals.
